On Sunday the 5th of February, The Fruitful Pursuit returns to East Street, Fortitude Valley, for an afternoon of skin-contact delights and spicy snacks with three of Australia's most established orange wine growers.

Australian orange (or amber) wine has truly come into its own in recent years. The style is no longer solely a trophy of the natural wine movement—though we still believe it is through the most mindful approaches to viticulture that the best examples are made.

Our first iteration of 'Tangerine Dreams' draws upon a national selection of vigneron: Wayne Ahrens and Suzi Hilder of Smallfry Wines (Vine Vale, SA), Bryan Martin of Ravensworth (Murrumbateman, NSW) and Paul Hoffman of Swan Valley Wines (Swan Valley, WA).

For this informative, sensory deep-dive, we are thrilled to realign with the Happy Boy + Snack Man family at their latest den of delectables, Kid Curry, under the guidance of Chef Tom Swapp. Expect flavourful dishes from a variety of Asian influences, that will both heighten and broaden your appreciation for this ancient style of winemaking.

This is a 'big table' event.
Whether you book for one, two or in small groups, you will likely be gathered together with other wine lovers on larger tables, to share in the experience as a community.

If you wish to be seated in groups or with other couples, you must book together.
Without a minimum of 48 hours notice, we cannot guarantee that separate bookings will be sat together.

Following the event at Kid Curry, we invite you to join us and the growers attending next door at Snack Man, for more fun and frivolity.

Dietary Requirements

This is a set menu event. Due to the style of dishes being prepared for wine pairing, sadly not all dietaries requirements can be met. Shellfish allergies and persons who are sensitive to spice and/or chilli may not be catered for. We apologise in advance for any disappointment this causes.
